Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon dill seeds
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions 

  1. 1. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes, then cool them in ice water and peel.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, peppercorns, dill seeds, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Place the peeled eggs in a jar and pour the hot vinegar mixture over them.
  4. 4. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 3 days before eating.
