  • 2 cups Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ¼ cup Butter unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. Grease a baking dish and set aside.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, milk, and butter.
  3. 3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage (about 236°F or 113°C).
  4. 4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  5. 5. Beat the mixture until it thickens and loses its gloss.
  6. 6. Pour into the prepared baking dish and let cool completely before cutting into squares.
