Main Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- ½ cup evaporated milk
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter cut into pieces
- 1 cup pecan halves toasted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, evaporated milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Once the mixture reaches 235°F (soft ball stage) on a candy thermometer, remove from heat.
Stir in toasted pecans and vanilla extract. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens slightly.
Quickly drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Let cool completely.
