Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chopped pecans.
Spread the batter evenly into a greased baking pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
