Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 units Eggs large
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Pecans chopped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into a greased baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
