Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 2 Large eggs beaten
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Pears peeled and chopped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the oil and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just moistened. Fold in the pears.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
