Ingredients

  • 500 g All-purpose flour
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 150 ml Milk warm
  • 100 g Butter softened
  • 3 Eggs large
  • 10 g Active dry yeast
  • 200 g Mixed dried fruits chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Orange zest grated

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture. Whisk until well combined.
  3. 3. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead in the softened butter until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Fold in the dried fruits and orange zest.
  6. 6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. 7. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  8. 8. Punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf. Place it in a baking pan.
  9. 9. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. 10. Let it cool before slicing. Enjoy!
