Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the mixture all over the rib tips.
Place the rib tips on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Cover the rib tips with another piece of aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours.
Remove the top piece of foil and brush the rib tips with barbecue sauce.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, uncovered.
Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
