Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  2. Let boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  3. Stir in oats, coconut, and vanilla.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool until hardened.
