Ingredients 

Puff Pastry

  • 2 sheets Puff pastry thawed

Custard

  • 2 cups Milk
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 3 units Egg yolks beaten

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place puff pastry sheets on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool.
  3. In a saucepan, heat milk and vanilla extract until warm.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks.
  5. Gradually add warm milk to the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  6. Return mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool.
  8. Layer puff pastry and custard, starting and ending with puff pastry. Chill before serving.
