Mussels Mariniere Recipe
A classic French dish with mussels in a white wine sauce.

Main Ingredients
- 2 pounds mussels cleaned and debearded
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1 bunch parsley chopped
- to taste salt and pepper
1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the onion and garlic, cook until softened.
3. Pour in the white wine and bring to a boil.
4. Add the mussels, cover, and cook until the mussels open, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Discard any mussels that do not open.
6. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.
