Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds mussels cleaned and debearded
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  3. 3. Pour in the white wine and bring to a boil.
  4. 4. Add the mussels, cover, and cook until the mussels open, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. 5. Discard any mussels that do not open.
  6. 6. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.
