- ¾ cup Butter softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- ¼ cup Molasses
- 1 large Egg
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon Ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the molasses and egg until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are cracked.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
