Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine molasses, flour, sugar, baking soda, and ground ginger.
Add boiling water and mix until smooth.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely, then cut into cubes.
In a trifle dish, layer the cake cubes and whipped cream.
Repeat layers until all ingredients are used up. Chill before serving.
