Ingredients 

Cake

  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 bag mini marshmallows

Frosting

  • ½ cup butter melted
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to the chocolate mixture. Stir in pecans. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle marshmallows over the top. Return to oven for 2-3 minutes until marshmallows are puffed.
  6. For frosting, combine melted butter, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over warm cake.
  7. Let cool before serving.
