  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Butter softened
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 Eggs

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  6. Finally, stir in the milk until the batter is smooth.
  7. Pour or spoon the batter into a greased and floured 9x9 inch pan.
  8. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
