Milk Tart Recipe

Ingredients 

Crust

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Filling

  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for sprinkling

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix crust ingredients and press into a pie dish.
  3. Bake crust for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  4. In a saucepan, heat milk until warm.
  5. Mix sugar, flour, and cornstarch. Add to milk and cook until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Let cool slightly.
  7. Whisk in beaten eggs. Pour into crust.
  8. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake for 20 minutes.
  9. Cool before serving.
