  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanuts raw or roasted
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions 

  1. 1. Grease a baking sheet and set aside.
  2. 2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine sugar and corn syrup. Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
  3. 3. Stir in peanuts and microwave on high for 3 to 4 minutes until light brown.
  4. 4. Stir in butter and vanilla extract. Microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Quickly stir in baking soda until light and foamy.
  6. 6. Pour mixture onto the greased baking sheet and spread evenly.
  7. 7. Let cool for 30 minutes, then break into pieces.
