  • 2 cups White American cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Half and half
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 pinch Salt to taste
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper optional

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the half and half and heat until warm, but not boiling.
  3. Gradually add the shredded white American cheese, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  5. Continue to cook and stir until the dip is smooth and creamy.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve warm with tortilla chips.
