In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
Bake for 60 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the brown gravy. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add flour to the melted butter and stir to form a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually add beef broth to the roux, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer.
Add Worcestershire sauce and continue to simmer until the gravy thickens.
Once the meatloaf is done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with the brown gravy.
