Ingredients

Meatloaf Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper

Brown Gravy Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Bake for 60 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  5. While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the brown gravy. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  6. Add flour to the melted butter and stir to form a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Gradually add beef broth to the roux, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer.
  8. Add Worcestershire sauce and continue to simmer until the gravy thickens.
  9. Once the meatloaf is done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with the brown gravy.
