Ingredients 

Pie Crust

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Cold butter cubed
  • ½ cup Cold water

Filling

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Chopped onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 1 cup Chopped carrots
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add cold water until dough forms. Divide dough in half, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned. Stir in flour, then add beef broth. Cook until thickened. Add peas and carrots, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll out one half of the dough and line a pie dish. Add the beef mixture. Roll out the second half of the dough and place over the filling. Seal and crimp the edges. Cut slits in the top crust.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
