Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 4 large Egg Yolks

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, heat the milk until it begins to steam. Do not boil.
  3. 3. Gradually whisk the hot milk into the egg yolk mixture.
  4. 4. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  5. 5. Remove from heat and whisk in the matcha powder until fully dissolved.
  6. 6. Stir in the heavy cream and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  7. 7. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. 8. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  9. 9. Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
