Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cream, and maple syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Bring to a boil and cook until the mixture reaches 238°F (114°C) on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and let it cool completely before cutting into squares.
