Instructions 

  1. 1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. 2. Pour maple syrup into a saucepan and heat over medium-high heat.
  3. 3. Bring the syrup to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4. Use a candy thermometer to monitor the temperature. When it reaches 235°F (113°C), remove from heat.
  5. 5. Pour the hot syrup onto the prepared baking sheet in strips.
  6. 6. Let it cool slightly, then use a wooden spoon to twist the syrup into taffy.
