In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add egg yolk and ice water, mix until dough comes together. Press into tart pan.
Bake crust for 15 minutes. Remove and let cool.
In another bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir in pecans.
Pour filling into cooled crust. Bake for 30 minutes or until set.
