Main Ingredients
- 10 lemons organic
- 1 liter vodka high-proof
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 cups water
Peel the lemons, avoiding the white pith.
Place the lemon peels in a large jar and pour the vodka over them. Seal the jar and let it sit for 1-2 weeks.
After the infusion period, strain the lemon peels from the vodka.
In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat until the sugar dissolves to make a simple syrup. Let it cool.
Mix the simple syrup with the infused vodka. Pour into bottles and seal.
Let the limoncello mature for another week before serving chilled.
