  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.5 cup limoncello
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 0.5 cup milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the lemon zest and limoncello.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
