Lemon Square Bars Recipe

Crust
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
Filling
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, ½ cup of softened butter, and ¼ cup of powdered sugar. Mix until well blended.
Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch baking pan.
Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, ¼ cup of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of flour, and ½ teaspoon of baking powder.
Pour the filling over the baked crust.
Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set.
Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
