Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, separated
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease the soufflé dish with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick. Add flour, lemon zest, lemon juice, milk, and melted butter. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the lemon mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared soufflé dish. Bake for 15 minutes or until the soufflé is puffed and golden.
  5. Serve immediately.
