Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 8 oz pasta your choice
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lemon zested and juiced
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • red pepper flakes optional, for a bit of heat

Instructions 

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add asparagus to the skillet and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to combine.
  5. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately, with additional Parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired.
