Main Ingredients
- 3 eggs separated
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup all-purpose flour sifted
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup powdered sugar for dusting
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with half of the granulated sugar until thick and pale. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
In another bowl, beat the egg whites with the salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining granulated sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites. Sift the flour over the mixture and fold gently until combined.
Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a plain round tip. Pipe 3-inch long strips onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Dust the piped batter with powdered sugar. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the ladyfingers are lightly golden and firm to the touch.
Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
