Dough
- 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2.25 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk warm
- ½ cup butter melted
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
Filling
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- ½ cup butter softened
Icing
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- as needed colored sugar for decoration
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, sugar, and yeast. Add warm milk and melted butter. Mix well.
Add beaten eggs and salt. Gradually add remaining flour until a dough forms. Knead for about 10 minutes.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon over the dough.
Roll up the dough and shape into a ring. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool.
Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the icing. Drizzle over the cooled cake and decorate with colored sugar.
