Ingredients 

Marinade

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup pear, grated Asian pear preferred
  • 2 lbs beef short ribs flanken cut

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and grated pear.
  2. 2. Add the beef short ribs to the marinade. Mix well to coat evenly. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight in the fridge.
  3. 3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. 4. Grill the marinated short ribs for about 3-4 minutes on each side until nicely charred and cooked through.
  5. 5. Serve hot with rice and side dishes.
