Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 box white cake mix plus ingredients listed on the box
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 box Jell-O gelatin mix any flavor
  • 1 container whipped topping thawed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the cake cool for 15 minutes. Using a fork, poke holes all over the top of the cake.
  4. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the Jell-O mix in boiling water. Stir in the cold water. Pour the Jell-O mixture evenly over the cake, making sure it gets into the holes.
  5. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours, or until the Jell-O is set.
  6. Spread the whipped topping over the cake. Serve chilled.
