Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs oxtail
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon browning sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme dried
  • 1 teaspoon allspice ground
  • 1 can butter beans drained
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Season oxtail with salt, black pepper, soy sauce, and browning sauce. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. 2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown the oxtail on all sides.
  3. 3. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, thyme, and allspice to the pot. Cook until onions are translucent.
  4. 4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until oxtail is tender.
  5. 5. Add the drained butter beans and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
  6. 6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
