Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 225 g plain flour
  • 125 g butter cold and diced
  • 2 tablespoon caster sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2-3 tablespoon cold water
  • 150 g jam any flavor

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) / 400°F / Gas Mark 6.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  3. 3. Stir in the sugar, then add the egg yolk and enough cold water to bring the dough together.
  4. 4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out circles to fit your tart tin.
  5. 5. Place the dough circles into the tart tin and add a teaspoon of jam to each.
  6. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden.
  7. 7. Allow to cool before serving.
