Ingredients 

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • to taste salt and pepper

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into meatballs.
  4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides. Add the meatballs to the sauce and let them simmer for another 10 minutes.
  5. Serve the sauce and meatballs over cooked spaghetti. Enjoy!
