Italian Sausage Spaghetti Recipe

- 1 lb Italian sausage casings removed
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- to taste Salt and pepper
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese grated, for serving
1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
4. Add the crushed tomatoes, dried basil, and dried oregano to the skillet. Stir to combine.
5. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sausage and tomato sauce. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
