Ingredients 

Cookie Dough

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 large Egg

Filling

  • 1 cup Dried figs chopped
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
  5. For the filling, combine chopped figs, honey, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into squares. Place a small amount of filling in the center of each square, fold, and seal the edges.
  7. Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before serving.
