Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  5. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
