Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Warm Water
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 5 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil

Instructions 

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water, then stir in yeast. Allow to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam.
  2. Mix in salt and oil into the yeast mixture. Mix in flour one cup at a time.
  3. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a well-oiled bowl, and turn to coat the dough. Cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
  5. Punch dough down. Knead for a few minutes, and divide into 6 equal portions. Shape into balls, and place on a greased baking sheet. Allow to rise until doubled in bulk, about 30 minutes.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
