Iron Skillet Apple Pie
A delicious and rustic apple pie made in an iron skillet.

- 6 Apples peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
- 2 tablespoon Butter cut into small pieces
- 1 Pie Crust store-bought or homemade
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Roll out the pie crust and place it in the iron skillet, letting the excess hang over the edges.
Pour the apple mixture into the crust and dot with butter pieces.
Fold the excess crust over the apples, leaving the center open.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
