Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Moong Dal rinsed and soaked for 30 minutes
  • 2 cups Kale chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. 3. Add turmeric powder and sauté for a few seconds.
  4. 4. Add the soaked moong dal and water. Bring to a boil.
  5. 5. Reduce heat and let it simmer until the dal is cooked.
  6. 6. Add chopped kale and salt. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  7. 7. Serve hot with rice or roti.
