Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
Shape the dough into a log and wrap it in plastic wrap. Chill for at least 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the dough into ¼-inch thick rounds and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
