Hush Puppies Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- ½ cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 Egg beaten
- ½ cup Milk
- ¼ cup Onion finely chopped
- 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying
1. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Stir in the beaten egg, milk, and finely chopped onion until well mixed.
3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
4. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
5. Remove hush puppies with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
