Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 1 large Egg
  • ¼ cup Milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and milk, and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the raisins.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into a greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
