Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 0.5 cups cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 4-6 tablespoon ice water as needed

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  2. 2. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
  4. 4. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and fit it into a pie dish.
  6. 6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
