Healthier Air Fried Po Boy Recipe
A healthier take on the classic Po Boy, using an air fryer for a lighter touch.

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1 cup Whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 4 Whole wheat sub rolls
- 1 cup Shredded lettuce
- 1 Tomato, sliced
- ½ cup Pickles, sliced
- ¼ cup Light mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Hot sauce
1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp and buttermilk. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
3. In another bowl, mix the flour and Cajun seasoning.
4. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
5. Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
6. While the shrimp cooks, mix the light mayonnaise and hot sauce in a small bowl.
7. Assemble the Po Boys by spreading the spicy mayo on the sub rolls, then adding the lettuce, tomato, pickles, and air-fried shrimp.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
