Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, diced carrots, and peas to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and flour. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over the top.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
