Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups green tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 units pie crusts store-bought or homemade

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced green tomatoes, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, butter, and lemon juice.
  3. Place one pie crust in the bottom of your pie dish. Pour the tomato mixture into the crust.
  4. Cover with the second pie crust, crimp the edges, and cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Let the pie cool before serving.
