Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon Butter plus extra for greasing
  • 3 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Milk warmed
  • 4 Egg yolks
  • ¼ cup Grand Marnier
  • 5 Egg whites
  • ½ cup Sugar plus extra for coating

Instructions 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease the souffle dishes with butter and coat with sugar.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in the warmed milk until smooth. Cook until thickened, then remove from heat.
  4. Whisk in the egg yolks and Grand Marnier. Set aside.
  5. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture in three additions. Pour the mixture into the prepared souffle dishes.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the souffles are puffed and golden. Serve immediately.
