  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, forming a large circle about ½ inch thick.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  8. Allow the cookie to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
